Whatsapp video calling is now available

WhatsApp was founded January 2010 by Jan Koum (C.E.O) and Brian Actor. WhatsApp is the largest end-to-end encrypted messaging network. It has over 1 billion user and more are still coming to join. Due to this reason, whatsapp continues to ensure that there users are satisfied. In the last update, WhatsApp added the following
:
  • You can draw or add text and emoji  to photos and videos you capture within WhatsApp. You can also pick a brush size or font style by dragging left on the on the color selector.
  • In groups, you can now mention specific people by typing the @ symbol
  • Group admins can now invite people to join a group by sharing a link. From group info, just tap add participants and choose invite to group via link. New emoji. And sending a single emoji will now appear larger in chats.

WhatsApp Video call

This feature was first spotted by Android police . For now, the video calling is only available for beta testers. If you want to use this feature, you will need to sign up to become a beta tester and update to WhatsApp beta. Follow this steps to become a beta tester on WhatsApp (android):
  • Open google play store and search for WhatsApp
  • Tap on it and scroll down . The feature is usually after the "you might also like" tab. 
  • Tap on I'M IN" and wait for the process to finish
Note:The beta version can sometimes be filled up and you might not be able to sign up.

How to activate

In order to activate video calling, you simply need to pull up a contact in the WhatsApp app, tap on the call icon and choose "Video call". The video calling feature will only work if the both the receiver and the caller have the same better build of WhatsApp that supports the feature. If not, you will be notified with an error message that your contacts need to update their app.

WhatsApp video calling feature also provides an option to mute the call. You can decide to use either the front camera or the rear camera. Your app's call history list also displays both video and voice calls.
